Some Reviews and Comments From Listeners
The Best Radio You Have Never Heard makes me take back everything nasty I've ever said about podcasting.
Well, not all of it.
The lisping, arch and smug, nasally plugged self aggrandizers are still there in all corners of the globe.
What makes this one different?
Not giving a shit about whether or not music is "podsafe" (a word I'm starting to loath) , for one.
The second being the late seventies free-form radio vibe .
I'm picking up what this cat's laying down.
Zappa, Patti Smith, Steely Dan, The Clash, soundbites. And no annoying chatter. He saves the drama for his mamma, or whatever.
Go man, go.
Be sure and download the shows to your hard drive first-what you think the guys made of bandwidth? He's performing a public service here people.
Hey Perry,
Thanks for turning us onto the podcasts. Terrific. I've heard some favorite tunes like, D.I.Y. ... and some not-so-favorites like that Ted Nugent tune. I do really appreciate the diversity of the musical content, and also the absence of commercials. The podcasts reminded me of what FM radio USED to be like, in its best days, and ought to be like now. Challenging.
Also ... The sound quality is EXCELLENT!!! I think it's probably the best quality soundcast I've ever heard on the net. Highly recommended, even if there doesn't appear to be any YES music in the podcasts. At least, after having listened to 3 of the seven podcasts, I haven't heard any Yes music yet.
Blessings!

The Best Radio You Never Heard podcasts have been absolutely wonderful! I have enjoyed every last one. There are a few that I missed. Where can I find them? Is there a site anywhere with the downloads?
I plan to spread the word about TBRYNH. I have other friends and some nephews who would enjoy it.
Thanks,

Your podcasts are the closest reflection of my own tastes I have found thus far! I just wish you would put the track listings on your website.

He who casts the first pod...
My, how we evolve. First it was diaries, then we moved to blogs to splurge our thoughts and opinions. First, there were mixed tapes and radio and now we have Satelitte Radio and now Podcasts to project our music tastes.
I have been meaning to write about podcasting for a while and have been considering taking a stab and doing my own. But the truth is, I have never even heard a podcast yet. At least, until now.
My friend Perry has been in the Chicago music industry probably since I was in pooping in diapers and has developed a jaded, yet justified opinion of music and radio. And if you've heard radio recently, for good reason. But the good news is that he's not just sitting there blubbering over it. He's challenging stations that claim "we play everything" and created his own podcast series called "The Best Radio You Have Never Heard" to show how he thinks radio should sound. You can listen to his podcasts here. Let me or him know what you think of the series.
Hearing Perry's podcasts is getting me excited to maybe take a crack at my own.
